I just limp preflop, especially without reads. IDK his raise is fishy because there are no draws to protect versus an overpair. I feel he might be making a move with a pair plus draw or maybe 77 to 88.

I'm tempted to just push this flop.

This seems to be a great flop for you. Are you putting CO on a set? Seems CO would have raise pre with TT or better, but who knows?

I would have bet $6 or $7, but not sure if that would have made much of a difference. Tough spot. Probably a good fold until you learn more about CO. He could easily think you are stealing and could just be stealing himself.

Ok I want to add that if he's afraid he'll lose action if a potential straight card comes on the turn, then his raise does have merits if he has two pair or better.

[/ QUOTE ]I'm putting him on a set often enough that I can't call.

I hate this spot because if I call here I'm basically committed to going all the way and I don't think I'm good often enough to risk the rest of my stack over this pot.

I stuck the hands in pokerstove with what i thought was his range. {33-88, 86s, 65s, 53s}

The equity range came to about 55/44 in favor of you.

I will point out that if this his range then even with positive equity I can neither call or push profitably (unless I know he will always call for the rest of his stack).

With unknowns I used to lean towards classing them as aggro donks until they proved me wrong. However recently I've been giving them credit and erring on the side of caution, so far this seems to hae increased my winrate
I'd just watch him closely from now on and check this doesn't become regular.

Flop fold is fine...

Sometimes I boost this pf, sometimes not... W/o reads on any of the limpers I usually do not boost this...

Flop bet I make $6 but its just me being nit picky...

If you want to continue with the hand you pretty much have to make a decision if your going to put the stacks in, and I don't think I like stacking off with 99 here vs an unknown...

Muck it and find a better spot...

Question is, in this spot assume you have JJ or QQ, how would you proceed?
