Has anybody read any Andrea Dworkin stuff? It's pretty far out and interesting, definitely read-worthy even though you'll inevitably disagree with most of it. She once hypothesized that any sex between a man and woman can be classified as rape.

[/ QUOTE ]

She and Catharine MacKinnon (even more aggressive) have provided most of the work on this idea. Robin West, in one piece, seems to agree as well. If any of you dudes care you can get on LexisNexis and read a ton of interesting stuff about feminist views on pornography, sexual relations, and male dominance.

And then, obviously, jerk off while fetishizing your ex-girlfriend crying in handcuffs or whatever, amirite?

Pretty far out is an understatement. It is interesting, but it's almost the bizzaro-feminist version of the "she was asking for it" trope in that it significantly (if not completely) downplays the agency of the woman or women in question and posits all men as id-ruled beasts.

Which if all you knew about men was reading OOT, would not be a surprise, I guess...

Or you could read more realistic feminists like Camille Paglia who says that sex shouldnt be some bs shame covered mystery but should be celebrated and exposed.

Wow...men have the ability to demand more than just the mere presence of a woman in thier life now. How awful for us all.

The article seems to be discussing issues that have been around in some form forever. It has just taken on a new face. What exactly did feminism do to solve the issues of emotional lonliness and isolation, I wonder?
