Xbox 360 or PS3? OOT expertise needed

I've never had a console, but it's kinda eerie hearing people raving about one console after another over the years that so many people, sometimes the "common accepted wisdom," said was crap when it first came out.

Guess it shows that the system doesn't matter nearly as much as the games.

Ive got a PS3 and the Wii. I love em both for different reasons. My buddy has an xbox 360 and its OK but I'll stick with my PS3.

Obviously PS3 is losing in the FPS department w/ Halo and GOW. Personally I'm not that huge of a fan of FPS's on consoles and prefer the PS only games (Final Fantasy, MGS, Resident Evil). In all reality most games will be on both systems as it makes most sense to sell games on all platforms.

I bought the PS3 because of the blue-ray. The 360 cannot use it's upgraded HD drive to run games. Only in DVD format. Although it's not a big problem now I could easily see some games go to PS3 because there is more room for more stuff to do. Also, I prefer the controller more due to the fact you can charge it via the PS3 (non battery).

But seriously, this has been debated so much. Both are good, both have their pros and cons, so you should pick based off of what feels good to you and what exclusives you know you'll want to play.
