Greetings from the Norway guy :-)

Just for the record, the situation with the domain had nothing to do with me not being able to pay for 10 bucks

I sent out an email to all registered players earlier, but some of you might not have seen it so I will post it here as well:

[ QUOTE ]
Dear poker player,

As you may have noticed, Pokerhand.org has been down since friday. Our registrar RegisterFly.com went out of business and chose not to renew any domains hosted with them. This happened without our knowledge and they did not inform any of their customers of the situation.

Currently over 2 million domains were registered by RegisterFly, so all over the web people have problems with this registrar. We have been trying to get the domain back up since friday without success. We have tried emailing them as well as InterNic and ICANN without a response from either parties.

However today the situation changed, GoDaddy.com (another registrar) decided to buy RegisterFly and their customers. We've been assured by GoDaddy that they will resolve the situation either tonight or tomorrow. Here are an announcement from ICANN explaning the sitatuion:
http://icann.org/announcements/announcement-29may07.htm

So rest assure, we are coming back. We do have other good news as well, in the past two months we have been developing a new hand history parser for the website and the new parser will be released shortly after the site is back up.

Features supported by the new parser are:
- Pot sizes for FullTilt, PartyPoker and Pokerstars
- Automatic odds calculations when posting a hand
- More forum friendly output hand view (like the bison converter)
- Hand replayer (in co-op with highstakesdb.com)
- and more..

Thanks for being patient with us. We've been here since 2004 and we are here to stay!

Kind regards,
Thomas Mathiesen
Pokerhand.org founder

Then a little over 2 hours later the domain is rightfully mine again, and it's up and running as before.

I also sent out a new email, here's a copy:

[ QUOTE ]

Hi all,

Well, it didn't take long after the last email I sent out to you guys.

Pokerhand.org is now back up, some might still have to wait for nameservers to update in order to access the site, but most users will be able to visit the site now.

I would just like to repeat what I wrote in my previous email in regards to the new hand history parser which will be launched this week:

Features supported by the new parser are:
- Pot sizes for FullTilt, PartyPoker and Pokerstars
- Automatic odds calculations when posting a hand
- More forum friendly output hand view (like the bison converter)
- Hand replayer (in co-op with highstakesdb.com)
- and more..

Thanks again for your patience.

Kind regards,
Thomas Mathiesen

PM me if you have any questions.

Thank God Godaddy.com is handling the registerfly domains. I have a couple of domains at regfly that have been in limbo the past month. I'm glad your site is back now too.

Wow. We had a ton of problems with RegisterFly awhile back. We finally had enough of them and their BS and switched registrars.

One horror story- We had email through RegFly as well. One day we go to the webmail login page and the whole login page is in Arabic. We call RegFly to see WTF is up and they say that it's something with our browser settings. Lol, ok.

Then they say that in order to fix it, they have to delete everything(saved emails, folders, email lists, unanswered emails, etc etc) and start a new one. F no we said.

Finally after a few days of pretty much non-stop calls to them and us going irate, we get someone on the phone who starts laughing and says- "Oh, I think someone here was playing a joke", and within the hour they finally changed the language from Arabic back to English.
