wow this is kind of sick. you can't raise the flop, and raising the turn seems awkward b/c if you raise to like $5K and he shoves it seems like a turbo muck.

i think it's a fold w/o a lot of history between the two of you. i think when he's bluffing he's bluffing w/ Ah so that leads me to believe he's not bluffing as often as you need him to be to call here.

still i wonder if raising the turn is correct here given stack sizes.

Sure, one can theoretically merge their range and value bluff and whatnot with AA to get called by KK or to get a small flush to fold or whatever, but in practice I think you very rarely see that bet. edit: And if it's air, it's going to often be AhXo which he won't be DEALT that often, so that really cuts down on the frequency with which he's bluffing here. If his range is JJ, AhXh, AhXo then you dont have odds to call. Especially assuming he plays more suited aces preflop than unsuited ones. And that he won't bluff 100% of the time he has air here.

Maybe I'm missing something here but...

You raise with 45s then you got RERAISED a large amount and called. Then the board came with a pair in it and you called a bet that wasn't giving you odds for your flush, especially when its not the nut flush or even a good flush. What the heck are you doing?

How does being a coach not make you a donk? I guess I am still missing something. I can't see any logic or reason to playing the hand the way you did, maybe you were just on tilt or thinking you were going to get lucky.
