I have been checking in on some of the "bots" and one of the names he gave "mariojr" has been playing 8 tables of 1/2 NL for about the last 18 hours on FT.

I would hope FT have spoken to them at length and they must have serious confidence they are not bots, but who knows. We can only hope FT have done their homework.

While I definitely have major suspicion that these guys were bots prior to this issue being presented, having played with them since their return everything seems much different, at least for now. Their chat has increased significantly, and their play seems less "robotic". That's just my perception of course. I have no idea the specifics of what FT communicated to these guys, but I have to believe that they're being much more closely monitored now. At least I hope so. It might be still be possible that they could be running a bot off and on, but obviously we have no way of knowing.

If you're looking to play at their table and are concerned, just chat a little bit and see if they respond. That's at least one way to check and see if a human is present.

Anyone monitoring their play? Be interesting to see their recent numbers.

Wow, after almost 2 weeks of reading every single post, I'm finally caught up. Quite an accomplishment. I feel like I should be climaxing right now.

[/ QUOTE ]There are tons of people that never chat when playing online. I even know (many) people that have had their chat removed (on their request) by the poker room. These guys obviously wont answer. If someone do not answer a question on an online poker table that does not mean anything

wims generally speaking you're correct, but the players in question have been going out of their way to chat of late for the specific purpose of addressing these "bot" issues. In the past you could hardly ever get them to respond. However they all talk now. I'm not making a suggestion to try to chat with anybody you suspect to be a bot. But for full_tilting, mariojr, and 0_drunkenboxer, you can talk to all of them and they do respond of late.
