Depositing with your own credit card
Does anyone do this? If so does your credit card treat it as a cash advance or a credit purchase (for online sites)
Thanks |

Re: Depositing with your own credit card
It depends. When I did it with my credit card last month it was counted as a regular purchase. However, I believe that for many other cards it counts as a cash advance.
If you're in the US it's probably harder to find a credit card that supports purchasing from a poker site. |

Re: Depositing with your own credit card
Any way to find out before you actually make the charge (those cash advance fees can be hefty)
Also I see that many poker sites carry the VISA logo so I should be ok using any VISA card right? (even from the US) |

Re: Depositing with your own credit card
Actually, I will just ask (since I've been out of playing online seriously for a bit), what sites are more likely to take credit card deposits?

Re: Depositing with your own credit card
I'm pretty sure most US cards block transactions from poker sites. There are some threads about prepaid VISAs that support it. I think I got lucky avoiding the case advance fee here in Canada.

Re: Depositing with your own credit card
Small sites are more likely to work with credit card deposits.
