I like the woman's voice in HEM. Half Acre is an amazing song.

Carah Faye Charnow from "Shiny Toy Guns".

I really like her voice alot. She is super sexy too. She has two full sleeves and isn't 23 yet. Shiny Toy Guns' covers "Stripped" by Depeche Mode and "Nothing Compares 2 U" by Sinead O' Connor where Carah sings and she does a great job. She also contributes to about 75% of the songs on their debut "We are Pilots" (Carah also sings the title track) (Universal).

Barron - Idol has featured some excellent female performances. Here are two that really standout, imo.

Melinda Doolittle - My Funny Valentine

Kelly Clarkson - Stuff Like That There

jane was at manhattan school of music when I first moved to nyc and a friend of mine was telling me she was going to be the next big thing. she has perfect pitch, tone, timing, everything, but she's a little too perfect for me.

my favorite female singers are joni mitchell (before she wrecked her voice from smoking), eva cassidy, billie holiday, and janis joplin. the common thread to me in all these women is that they all lay it on the line every single time, and never hold anything back.
