I don't understand concept 17 (p. 257) in No limit Hold'em Theory and Practice. It says that you should check flops if your preflop raise is called EVEN WHEN THERE IS ONLY ONE CALLER.
Why is this? I c-bet 70% (maybe even 100%) of the flops when I get one caller... am I doing something wrong? |

No, you're not doing anything wrong. C-betting is very profitable in SSNL, despite what NLTAP says.
A lot of people on these forums disagree rather strongly with some of the advice in that book. |

And how about fullring? I can imagine one would still want to c-bet the flop when headsup on a fullring table...?

Definitely, yes. I c-bet around 70% of the time OOP heads-up, and more like 90% of the time in position heads-up.

I bet close to 100% of flops headsup. This is just one of many areas of NLHETAP that I found confusing/wrong.
