[ QUOTE ]
Hand 1: You're trying to push him off his AQ TPTK, or maybe you saw him c/r-ing the flop a ton of times before? Anyway, you're reperesenting a set or maybe a big draw like AsKs. You're basically risking 20 to win 20 so you need to get him to fold more than 50% of the time to make this worthwhile. I don't think you have that much fold equity here, unless you have a super-nitty image. Hand 2: This makes more sense, you may be pushing higher PPs off the hand, and you still have 10 outs if you fail. [/ QUOTE ] I think I agree with you on hand 1. I probably played this badly. Hand 2 was a checkraise for value. I don't think he would just call with an overpair on the flop here. He'd have to be concerned about giving me a free turn if he has 88-JJ, if he thinks I missed this flop with a hand like AK. I don't know if he'd raise the flop with a set, but I think so. |
