Default Foxwoods $10-20 hand

Tough table. Tight-agressive play for the most part. No "live" players. Most pots 2-3 handed, sometimes 4, and rarely 5.

2nd position limps, the button limps. The small blind completes, and I check with Q-J.

Flop:
A-Q-4

I check because I'm unsure if any Aces are out. 2nd position bets, and the button and small blind folds. I've seen this guy bet with alot of hands, he might have an Ace, but he would also bet a Queen, a four, or a pocket pair. Since he'll more frequently have hands that I can beat and I have outs if i'm behind so I called. I was getting 5-1 and I felt that I hold the better hands more than 16% of the time.

Turn:
A-Q-4-Q (2 clubs)

Now I feel pretty confident. I outdrew him if he had an Ace. I checked, planning to get him for two bets on this round. He checked behind me.

River:
A-Q-4-Q-6 (3 clubs)

I bet out on the end hoping to get called by an Ace or some other pair. He raises. I have a sick feeling I might have gotten flushed. Getting 6-1 with Three Queens, Ace-Jack I decided to call because I felt he *might* be bluffing, or might think I'm bluffing often enough for me to call. I called. He showed K-Q.

I think the correct play might have been to check. First off, if I'm behind I lose only one bet. Second, my check might cause him to bet Aces, or some pocket pair lower than Aces, or bluff. Since he didn't raise preflop I correctly figured he didn't have a big Ace like A-K, A-Q, A-J, A-10 and I probably wouldn't get called by anything I could beat except maybe Q-10 suited. If I bet, he's going to fold most of the time (if he was bluffing or betting a weak hand) and raise when he has me beaten, and I will be "forced" to call.

What do you think?

Sorry, did you say this was a TAG table?

Anyway, consider leading the flop at least some of the time. If you get raised, you can muck on the turn.

As played, I think betting the river is fine. Maybe the guy has a 4, maybe he's got 88/99, maybe he's got A4, who knows...

it might be tight but not tuff, there isnt 2 "tuff" players in the place from 1-3 to 150-300

id bet flop if they raise fold, usually they might just call with a weak ace and check river anyway in position because they are so passive
