Default AA B&M 3/6 first post.

Hey there.
First time poster but I lurk haha.

Playing 3/6
First hand of a brand new table.
So no one knows how anyone one plays, though a couple of people at the table are friends and regulars it seems.

AA in MP.

One limper, I raise.
BTN, SB, BB and limper call.
Flop
J 7 4. Two spades.
Checked to me and I bet
SB, BB, and limper call. BTN folds.
Turn 7 of spades. Scare card. But its checked to me. I bet.
Sb folds, BB calls, limper calls.
River a brick.
Check, check. And I check.

Thoughts?
Ill post results after some thoughts.

I'm probably value betting this river. I think you would have heard about it by now if you were beat, but I guess these games can have some passive players too.

Value bet huh?
I kind of feel this is one of those hands where, if I bet, he isn't calling unless I'm beat.
So I don't feel I'm losing out here.
Though one might think he would be calling down with AJ with the ace of spades...

He flipped over ace 3 of spades. Said the pair 7 scared him and didn't want to risk getting raised.

Pfft wuss.

Now who missed on a value bet haha

This is why it is very important that you value bet against passive players. They pay you off when your hand is better and they fail to punish you when they have very good hands. You will come out way ahead in this exchange.

Wow, thank you.

He's going to call you down with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
and definitely j[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

but ok.

Keeping in mind, there are 2 players still in the hand. Not one. And come on.. He isn't calling a PF raise and call all the way down with a weak jack like J2. I understand what you are saying though... he might do it with JT or in that range.
As for 88 or 99, yes those are possibilites..
And in which case, heads up I would have bet. But I didn't like the big blind, and an EP in there....

How many times have I heard this conversation at the table? The only thing left for you to say is, "you play it your way and I'll play it my way."

Hint: This is a bad place for affirmation.
