AA without improvement
from 3-5 NL game live
opponent is loose preflop, less so postflop, medium aggressive/passive, big stack, haven't seen any bad plays, have seen him get very lucky with some loose preflop calls in and out of position. Seems capable of calling preflop raise with any two cards with position. Max buyin is 600 and he has maybe 1500. i have ~480, pickup A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] from UTG+1 UTG folds, I raise to 20 (standard table raise, pretty loose table preflop) 2 callers, MP and opponent who is LP. flop J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. (Pot ~65) I bet 40. MP folds. opp calls. Turn is 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. (Pot about ~145) I bet 100, he calls. River is 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (Pot ~345) What is your line... You have about 320 left. |

Re: AA without improvement
C/C a decent amount- 6x is not rele very likely here. It's MUCH more likely he has Axss (not a2) and will bluff this river I think. However, if you do not think he's really capable of bluffing, then it's Ok to bet/fold river for $125 and hope to get value from like A5, JQ, JT, 88, etc.

Re: AA without improvement
Would you check/call an all-in?

Re: AA without improvement
online I check/call or sometimes check/fold depending on opponent, reads, feelings, ecc....
live I bet something like 200/call a push and get paid by live calling stations that don't fold KJ on that board, unless I know that my opponent is very very good. Then if he shows 66, amen. |

Re: AA without improvement
push 100%, he might call with a jack, he isn't flat calling any set here at any street. Most likely medium jack or flush draw.

Re: AA without improvement
Well I checked, thinking it might induce a bet with a missed flush draw and that if he had AJ he would bet as well.
He pushed, I called, he had J7o. Ugh. |

Re: AA without improvement
c/c is standard i think
calling a shove is pretty player dependent, but i would call a small to medium river bet and i dont know if AJ bets that river... |

Shoving is your worst option.
