Default 3/6 Stars Blind Battle

4 Handed.

Folded to me in small blind with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. BB appears to fold to steals too much (although not a huge hand sample) so I raise. He reraises and I call

flop - 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I c/c

Turn is J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
I c/r. He calls

River is Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
I donk and he folds

How did I play each street? Is the flop call too loose? I planned on c/r the turn on any club, any non heart straight draw, or any K or 4 and folding UI.

In a 3-bet PF blind battle, you can see most any turn with any reasonable draw since you'll be getting 7 to 1. Here, you probably have enough to justify a call w/ implied odds. Pot odds want about 5.5 outs, you can probably drop that one with implied stuff. Your K is probably worth a little less than 3, plus bd flush, bd straight, and occasional 4 holding up. River is obvious and I think turn is fine, particularly against someone who's weak in blind battles.

Stupid nitty point: river isn't a donk since you c/r the turn.

[/ QUOTE ]Sorry. Forgot he was only last aggressor preflop and flop since I c/r'd turn.

Do you always go for the c/r on the turn in this situation against a tight player?

To be honest, I didn't used to, but the more I read of Stox's book the more I like it.

nh. well played on all streets.

I really need to get around to ordering stox's book. my paycheque just came in so I'll do it now. reading that post about Hoss TBF on the high stakes forum has convinced me to order chen's mathematics of poker as well.

Fwiw, I think the Hands with Stox (there's 50 something) are worth the price of the book alone.
