he bets a 9 usually on the river (and obv. a king or queen) so yeah i make a thin bet here expecting a 3 or ace high to call.

I would bet/fold the turn and check behind on river instead. Our hand is quite vulnerable here.

I don't know how many A high will call down with a K and Q on the board. I don't think there's much value in a bet here. I'd rather bet the turn personally.
