Default Avatars on Pokerstars

What about them? Do you guys think they make any difference? I mean, players see the same picture on a couple of tables and think: Wow that guy play lots of tables, he got to be good, I need to be careful against him. Does it really mathers to the fishes, and too the serious players they use PT so the recognise you anyway? Whats your thoughts about this?

I block the ones that annoy me the first time I see them. The people you would intimidate with them aren't the people you want to be scaring away.

I have actually thought about it. I think the only thing it does it make you more recognizable. It probably matters very little, but its better to play without, if you care enough about it.

(I do, and dont play with one)

I use an avatar. I am not trying to send any particular message (mine is kind of a play on words/pictures) I don't ascribe any particular meaning or try to interpret other people avatars because I'd probably misinterpret their message. Non issue with me.

Agreed. Mainly a non issue.

multitabling doesn't mean there better. I actually take advantage of people with many tables. One guy at my limit plays 12 tables at once. He's not fully paying attention to any one table.

It probably doesn't make a difference on higher levels either. It was just a thing that crossed my mind, looking at some stupid avatars when I played earlier.

I try to exploit this when I can too.

I block the ones that distract/annoy me. Mine's a donkey (if you like my friends were wondering wtf that was), a pissed-off donkey. Get whatever meaning you want from it. Some ask me what his name is. It's Wetdog. LDO

pokerstars has avatars? I switched to a non-avatar format six months ago when I started using PAHUD.

FWIW mine is Spider Jerusalem from the Transmetropolitan comics.
