If retarded game stores are saying october 2008 it will most likely be November 2008.

Regarding when it will be released, keep in mind that Blizzard is notorious for always pushing back relase dates for just about every game they've ever made. When Blizzard gives a date, seriously add 1-2 years to that and you'll have a pretty accurate guess. I was just looking through the old "coming soon" ads in some of my old Blizzard games and it's actually pretty funny to see how consistent they are:

"Available Spring 96: Diablo"

From Warcraft II Expansion:
"Available Summer 96: Diablo"
"Available Winter 96: Starcraft"

From Diablo:
"Coming in 1997: Starcraft"

From Starcraft:

Honestly, I think Winter 2008 for Starcraft II is being optomistic.

Ive been playing alot of Brood War since I saw the vids. I cant wait. Christmas 2008 is optimistic. There will def be a 4th race we just wont get to play as them.

These dates are completely made up by the company you work for to get people to pre-order. Blizzard has said as much many times about other release dates for previous games. At best it is an educated guess...

It's possible that they're giving an accurate timeline on this one. It seems like they've been working on it for quite some time before they even announced it. Maybe they want to break their reputation.

[/ QUOTE ] Anything's possible. What's more likely to happen though? Blizzard is anal about making sure that their games meet their high standard of excellence. As long as this holds true, I think we can expect there to be delays.
