I don't necessarily mind sports discussions in the lounge but this is devoid of any content. If you want to try again you will need to add some meat to your post. Otherwise, try another forum.

I'm kinda disappointed Liddell didn't win, because that makes it two out of three losses, and both right in the early rounds. It looks like one of those situations where someone just has your number. It can happen with guys who aren't even as good as you, but if they've got your number, there's not a lot you can do about it.

I didn't see the fight, but saw the knockout rebroadcast. He was outta there and very lucky the ref ended the fight almost immediately after there instead of letting him absorb more punches on the ground.

But anyway, if you have lost two out of three times to the same guy, there's little reason to think your next fight with him, if it ever comes, will be a good one. And little reason to think that even if you win, it would really mean anything; you'd still have lost two out of three! And if you win the next one, it's 2/4. Basically, Chuck would have to win the next three fights against this guy IN A ROW to just squeak out a 3 out of 5 win record. Forget it. Lose one and then you're off trying to win 4 out of 7, ugh.

Chuck is getting a bit old to fight, so maybe it's just his time to go. Or at least to fight tomato cans instead of the caliber of guys can who can completely wipe him out.

Liddell has lost to Rampage both times and if he fought him again he would lose again. Liddell is probably the most overrated fighter in the world. He is still very good, but you put him in Pride and he isn't top 3. UFC protects it's fighters way too much and it shows. Hopefully the UFC sets up a Liddell vs Shogun match so Liddell can get his ass kicked again.

O rly? Every time a UFC champ fights it is for a title (except in cases of missed weight). Gomi/Wand get to lose multiple times and keep their titles.

Re: The rest of your post
1. Pride doesn't exist
2. They're all UFC fighters now
3. Org vs. Org arguments are [censored] retarded. DUCY?

This thread can now die in peace.

Chuck is never going to be champion again, that's for sure. Shogun, Wanderlai, Henderson, Rampage all have the potential to beat him, Rampage definitely does have his number though and. He won't be champ, but I'm sure he's going to have a few great matches before he retires. Shogun will rule this weight-class for a very long time. I also think he may try heavyweight, which is complete suicide.
