[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] the best of the best don't boast, or brag, or say they're the best. they know it, you know it, i know it and everyone knows it. [/ QUOTE ] So true. For example: Babe Ruth, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Lawrence Taylor. All notoriously humble! [/ QUOTE ] Jordan backed up his talk though. He said he was the best and proved it over and over. Em2 is saying how great he is and how he would crush Samo even though he's grinding 2/4 and has no intention of actually playing him HU. See a difference here? It's one thing if you talk and back it up. If you don't though you just sound pretty [censored] stupid. [/ QUOTE ] Not really the point. unbluffable basically said the very fact that EM2 bragged about how good he is means he can't be that good. That's obviously not always true as the examples prove. Edit: I'm a slow poster. |

Re: Lolo? KKF? Samo? Bld? Where are these guys?
Ah the trolls have found this thread. In seriousness, all the top players have huge egos. There was a good thread in HSNL a long time ago by HEK or KKF or someone called "what type of personalities are best for poker" or something like that.

I think BLD would beat GP heads up, just my opinion from having seen both play.

"what type of personalities are best for poker" or something like that. [/ QUOTE ] I think that was Strassa or KKF. Lolo was by FAR the biggest hourly winner on Party 10/20 and it's not even close...not by a mile. |

Re: Lolo? KKF? Samo? Bld? Where are these guys?
[ QUOTE ]
Because it's basically just gambling at 5k hands per month. I even heard a guy who plays 200/400 the other day say, "I didn't care about the longrun in this particular hand, all's I cared about was THIS HAND, RIGHT NOW." Basically he's saying that his call was such a great amount of money that the longrun didn't even matter.... aka gambooooooooling. [/ QUOTE ] That wasn't even remotely what he was saying |

Re: Lolo? KKF? Samo? Bld? Where are these guys?
bld i've logged some hours with most people you mentioned. i definitly strongly disagree with how you rank taylor to the other players. although playing HU on UB is a very different game than 6 tabling 6 max on PS

Re: Lolo? KKF? Samo? Bld? Where are these guys?
How would you know your hourly rate, when you never have used pokertracker or any other program to track your play?
And why in the world would you play 2-4 NL when your worth millions? |
