How bout betting the flop? Your play puts lots of pressure on him pre-flop and then on the flop you just give up.. I think this is a decent flop to make a play at, and you could get him to fold anything QQ and lower here.

straate, glad you didn't busto. Sort of...

If you take the check-it-down line, you are calling at least one barrel on various blanks, right? Twin is passive but he will probably be willing to bluff once on turn or riv

This is what I was thinking when I was confused by the first response to this thread. It seems to me by c/c turn, our range is really narrow and there's a good chance that Villian will bet almost any river. So we're like 20% to improve on the river and probably win the pot, and around 80% of the time we lose the pot (although maybe sometimes he won't fire another barrel).

NO....FREAKIN'....WAY....does he fold a pair. I still like the flop shove anyway, then get stacked by his 8x, tough one.

edit: I say this because I played a little with twin last night and he probably has an 8 here at least 80% of the time the way he runs...

why in the world would you want to shove the flop? c/r AI or c/c AI if you want to felt... twin will not fold any pair to a shove and you have the best non-pair hand...
