This is strange, my landlord says I forgot to sign my rent check. Welcome to the deadbeat club, Lee.

My check wasn't signed either. First thing I notice is the name of the companies sound (are) a computer company and company that makes speakers (the attached sheet says Pstars ecash). Thought that was strange. Next thing I notice is there's no signature in the "Authorized Signature" box.

Guess I'm off to email Stars, too.

I may be way off base, but can a check not be deposited if it's unsigned? I remember a few years ago, I accidentally sent my credit card a check without signing it. They cashed it without a problem (I noticed I hadn't signed it from my bank's "check image" software).

I assume if you were trying to cash a check outright, this type of thing would probably prevent that from happening.

Most checks that you deposit through an atm are probably never are seen by human eyes as long as they aren't disputed. A personal check from a friend I'd just give it a go and call him up if it failed. A check for a few thousand from a company that sends out thousands of checks I don't want to leave my hands until arrangements are made. If it didn't go through it would be much too easy to get lost in the shuffle somewhere and my money with it.

Just got a reply from PS support. They said they were aware that many checks from 2 batches of checks were not signed and they would cancel the check and issue a new one. They were also looking into why this happened, but I don't really care why. Probably just some stoner at the printing shop forgot to push a buttton. Mistakes happen and I won't hold it against them.
