Ave. profit : $10 [/ QUOTE ] An avg profit of $10 is quite good. That's 5% at the $215s, or 1% at the $1000s. |

Ave. profit : $10 [/ QUOTE ] Assuming rakeback is another $10 and he can play 15 per hour this puts his hourly at least $300. |

[ QUOTE ]
BigJoe, on behalf of... Uh, well I guess just myself, good for you man, that car looks sick, may you have many more years of success, etc etc, and for myself, somebody who didn't start poker by playing SNGs and has played few since then, you've really made me interested in them now. Kudos on being a master at your craft. [/ QUOTE ] This is going to sound like I am bending down and sucking Joe off, but here goes. Joey isn't just a master at his craft Joey is not just a master at his craft, he is a very good poker player, he is a better MTT player than a lot of mtt pros and a better cash player than a lot of cash pros and a very good PLO player. Although it is somewhat futile being a good winning sng player is much harder than being a good ssnl player. Cash is much better poker than tournament poker, but there aren't remarkable skills in beating ssnl and ssnl isn't some magical form of poker because you are playing cash. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I find it amusing the ppl who dont think sngs are legitimate poker play SSNL [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] Arent a lot of reasonable SSNL players making more than STT players? This isnt meant to be a job, just wondering. I think a reasonable hourly for a 1/2 player is something like $100-$120 if theyre 6 tabling. Arent the ROIs for STTs dropping as the general playerbase gains more understanding of ICM and stuff? [/ QUOTE ] $100-$120 6-tabling 1/2 is pretty solid. I would guess that most 6-tabling regs make less than that. [/ QUOTE ] 95% of 2p2 SSNL players probably make less than $50/hr at 1/2 6tabling |

Re: Dude who\'s getting 7 Astro Martin\'s from Pokerstars
BigJoe is sick.
Anyone who thinks otherwise because he plays sng's is either ignorant or an idiot. I started at sng's and switched to cash cause there is a bigger edge and because sng's got too hard. It's insane that BigJoe can do what he does. And sure Elky got Supernova Elite first....by losing tons of money at SNG's (though I gess he makes a bunch at cash). But BigJoe got there soon after by making tons of money at sng's. I think that getting 7 Aston Martins is a waste unless he plans on selling some of them or giving some away to friends and family. But he can get 7 of them and I'd bet none of the rest of you can so he can do whatever he wants. |
