I appreciate the fact that, although you obviously disagree with me, you gave an objective response instead of a flame.

It's not to say that I hate your idea; I just don't think it's practical.

I am greatly amused by the fact that you think that Party will do anything with this money other than add it to their revenue.

it's also kinda funny that you think anyone cares what you think or want.

It's obvious that you care very little about this.

Why should he? He gladly and proudly stole the $400 from Party when they messed up with the cruise downgrades

I think sites should use confiscated money to buy space in all major poker magazines; Card Player, Poker Europe, etc... and every 2 weeks, once a month or whatever is dictated by how many online cheaters there are come public with a list of cheaters. Handles, real names, amounts confiscated, which countries they come from and how they where cheating and caught.

That would really be something that would help the poker community, both online and live.

Not a terrible idea, but that's almost negative advertising for them. Many may read it as, "Hey everyone, look at all the cheaters that play on our sites. We didn't catch them until they stole $X from cheating everyone else." I'm not sure they want that kind of publicity. I'd rather see them use the money for more advertising to bring more fish to the site. I'd take that as fair compensation in the long run.

I've been accused of cheating/colluding no fewer than 10 times in the chat-boxes (every time with some players I didn't know at all).

I've seen other players accused as well.
2 guys from the city are at the same 2/4 limit table. Some guy freaks out, tells the whole table that they're probably colluding (at 2/4??) and heads for the hills.

I don't think that encouraging people to indulge in even more paranoid fantasies is the way to go.
I'm amused enough as it is with the guys who think I'm cheating just because I occasionally RAISE.

I had one guy who was terrible heads-up....and he thought I was somehow cheating because I called his raise with 65s and hit some back-door draw or something.
He stayed at the table after he busted-out and kept telling the new players over and over not to play with me because I'm a cheater.

Easy to see where I'm going with this.
Most people aren't smart enough to identify cheaters properly.
Many many people are accusing regular, everyday players of cheating ALL the time.

Encouraging the morons is a bad idea.

however, if party wanted to take that money to actually pay for their staff to do some investigative work ON THEIR OWN (like occasionally patrolling the tables) then I would have no problem with that.

The cheating is a huge deal, asshat. I just don't see how anyone realistic could think party cares about what people think they should do with their $140k.
