pork chop seems to have it right. although if you can handle the variance the 8/16 on weekends can be the biggest money maker for you. 8/16 is def the craziest game at cp, and 15/30 does play very sim to 6/12 cept alittle more TA

I have played in 15-30 probably only 6-8 times and it can be a very profitable game, the most so during the day if you know how to take advantage of it. There are a lot of older people who are regulars to the game that usually play fairly tight and by mixing your game up and playing fairly tight yourself you can make a steady profit. However, I have also played when their were several capped preflops and flops and played more like a 8-16 game.. Usually if you go on an evening or weekend you will find from 2-4 tables open so I would suggest surveying the room first to see how the table is playing and if it is too tight / loose for you.. you might want to sit in another game for a while.

From what I have heard from people and from my experience I would classify the games this way;

6/12 - Loose/Passive
8/16 - Loose/Aggressive
15/30 - Tight/Aggressive

Many guys I have chatted with have said they won't even play the 8/16 because it's soo loose and crazy.
They have told me the 15/30 plays somewhat like the 6/12 but with less limping and cold calling.

[/ QUOTE ]

ive heard this to and mostly agree. the 15/30 game seems be getting tighter then before. but well see what happens this summer...

[/ QUOTE ]

The 15 is not getting tighter. People make generalizations about games they sat in once or twice. True, there is almost 1 or 2 players that are way better than the rest of the table, but that still leaves 7 fish ripe for the picking. The trick is to try and avoid the decent players if you can and get involved with rest that are there to give you money. The best players arent even really good they just make less costly mistakes that fish make routinely.

Default Callerbury Park

The Park just gets funnier and funnier!
I think they should just change the name to Callerbury Park especailly the later it gets.

The 6/12 on Friday started normal somewhat loose/passive with usually 4-6 to a flop but as the night went on it got more and more loose. Finally as tables were condensed I moved to a table at like 2AM and it was seriously like 8-9 in each pot regardless if it was raised preflop or not.

I saw a guy cold call a big bet and a checkraise on a JJK flop then 3 turn when it was obvious the guy that raised had at least a J if not a full house. River came a K and the guy who cold called hit his 2 outer and won with K,8 off.

I had AA and raised and everybody but one guy called and I knew my Aces were doomed. Flop was K97 and I bet the whole way and guy caught the straight on the riv.

I saw two guys earlier loose two racks at 6/12 and then move up to 8/16. They were terrible players but they were moving up. I know that I should be happy to have such loose bad limit hold em games to play but it can get very frustrating when you patiently wait to flop big hands and draws over and over and have them sucked out on.

I know these games are overall good but when there are so many callers it just makes it so hard for any good hand to hold up.
How do you deal with the looseness at the Park?

flop the nut flush draw when its capped 6 ways and call til the river and hit it. that helps.

i changed my mind about the 15 game getting tighter, i went last week during the day for the first time in a long time, and its the same as always
