Irritated by players talking to the dealers...
I am specifically talking about televised events, when invited (and supposedly perceptive) players talk to the dealers about random cards like they are intentionally dealing those specific cards. Phil Gordon was doing it all the time in HUPC. "You had to deal the T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], didnt you?" Its like nails on the chalk board to me. When random tournement idiot civilians do it, its understandable, but what do invited players think theyre doing? Being entertaining? They have to know that they might be making a perfect stranger (the dealer) uncomfortable on national television. Requesting cards from the dealer explicitly is almost as irritating. I request cards sometimes, but i guess im requesting them from randomness or fate, not from the guy dealing the cards.
..thanks for letting me rant. |

Yeah, one time, that made me so mad, I killed 20 people over it. Grrrr, people talking to dealers and stuff. So evil.
I think it's just about as bad as 9/11. |

Re: Irritated by players talking to the dealers...
In a Poker Superstars 3 episode, Daniel Negreanu promised the dealer $5, if he dealt him a favorable card against Eric Lindgren. Eric looked worried, and sure enough, Daniel won the hand(and paid up).
It's okay to put pressure on dealers as long as you pay them. Anyone saying, "One time dealer, just one time", should have to pay the dealer $50. |
