how long can a pizza be sitting out before it's uneatable? the one in front of me has been out for 12 hours. too long?

Should be fine if you don't see any mold. Maybe 48 hours or so unrefrigerated.

Pizza is fine the next day after being left in the box on the counter, or in the oven if you have dogs that can get on the counter. I don't think I've had pizza last 2 days.

I've eaten unrefrigerated pepperoni pizza as old as a week and it never hurt me.

I once left cooked pasta in a big pot and ate it for several days. After the fifth day or so, I realized the white mold was not parmesean cheese so I threw it out. And lived to tell the tale...(i didn't get sick or anything).
