When to 3-bet and when to just call???

Under what circumstances is it more profitable to 3-bet someone as opposed to flat calling their bet??? The question includes both in position and out of position....
Possible scenarios....

1. KQs in BB, 32/24 raises from button, what's our move...
2. JTs in SB, 18/12 raises from CO.....
3. 78s in BB, 24/17 raises from button.....
4. KJs on button, 32/24 raises from CO.....
5. 88 on button, 32/24 raises from CO.....
6. AQs on CO, 18/12 raises from UTG.....
7. 99 on BB, 24/17 raises from button....

FYI, you are 19/15, its 6-max, and everyone else has folded.....

2 questions: are these late position raises open raises or do we have limpers? how deep/short are we?

every answer though depends on lots of other factors. like your image, previous history, etc.

Generally speaking, I'm a lot more likely to call if I'm in position and more likely to 3-bet if I'm OOP. I think a lot of players will agree with me on this.

Thanks for the input.... These situations are ones in which I have trouble with... I am not sure sometimes if it is more profitable to flat call a raise and outplay them the rest of the way, or to 3-bet them and take it from there.....

4. All 3 to an extent are fine.
5. Call. 3betting isn't very good.
6. Call. 3betting definitely sucks here.
7. Call a lot. 3bet vs the right people.
