Your right your range isn't just overpairs here, but if he has flopped two pair, set, straight I don't think he is going to fear two diamonds or a low straight draw so much that he would try and blow you out of the water. He is gonna figure you for a mid-high pair if you keep calling, so why let you off the hook when your drawing so slim? Going all in risks so much that you don't need to be wrong very often to still show a negative return on this play.

If he is semibluffing, he prob has atleast 8 outs, perhaps more with multiple draws...He may figure to be a fav, especially if he can add some fold equity by shoving before you do on the flop. If you do figure him for a draw then pushing the turn works since he no longer could be favored. But no read is 100%. He could have it already, and then your doggin for all of it.

I think the best way considering your poor position, is very similar, if not the same, as the way you played it. Keep the pot small, and make a river decision based on your read and odds. Obviously this line works a lot better when a brick hits the river since you get another chance to let the villain bluff away. But IMO this doesn't look like a river bluff here.

I would 3bet the flop here almost always. I would call the river always your getting such a good price let him show some retarded bluff.

my concern here is that i'm never folding out big draws, so i'm basically 3betting the flop so that i can get it in drawing to 2-5 outs or as a coinflip against some draw. and bluffing out the few hands that are drawing thin against me.

i can definitely see checkraising the turn, but i think 3betting the flop here is spew.

I play it the same. Sometimes calling the river. Getting allin on the flop seems bad.

Flop is fine, turn is either check/call or c/r AI. River fold is fine. WP.
