Default Should i take a stab on the turn?

Poker Stars
Limit Holdem Ring game
Limit: $0.50/$1
10 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (10 players) Hero is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, 4 folds, CO (poster) checks, 2 folds, 2 folds, Hero (poster) checks.

Flop: 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3.5SB, 3 players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 checks, CO bets, Hero raises, UTG+1 folds, CO calls.

Turn: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3.75BB, 2 players)

I put CO on high cards so i c/r the flop hoping that he would fold. The turn card is scary, i dont know if i should
1. bet and then c/f the river
2. c/f the turn
which line is better?

I would tend to bet the turn again here. Also, I would've bet the flop the first time.

You could bet turn as last UI, but you need to tell us more about your opponents.

meh, does it make sense, given your reads, that he's donk-bluffing the flop? if so, what's his range here?

if you're check/raising (presumably trying to rep the 4) the flop you can't just shut down now that an A hit. bet the turn son (i suppose you could try for another check/raise but if we're not sure another bet's coming, and we aren't, i think you gotta lead out).

I don't like c/f'ing the turn. This card could've made villain a flush draw giving him the perfect chance to semi-bluff if you pull the brakes after cr'ing the flop.

I'm definitely checking almost every river. Whether I call on the end or not depends on my mood at the time. I tend to pay off value bets on rivers like this.

Why? He posted and checked his option. He has basically everything but two high cards here.

so i c/r the flop hoping that he would fold.

Why? Have you seen him bet/fold a flop before? If he has any intention of folding, it's almost always on a later street, so once you've check/raised you have to lead this turn no matter what it is. If you're raised, then it's an obvious fold.

this is like the most standard bet/fold on the turn ever
how is this tricky?

Taking in to the account that he is a poster I think that you probably split the pot now when the A came. So I would call down.

b/f here all day. River is dependent on the card, but most likely a c/c but it all depends.
