I have just downloaded itunes 7 and want to upload the contents of my ipod to itunes on my new pc (previous itunes and music was on a now dead laptop) but im finding it almost impossible to do this and it just wont work whatever i try. Ive tried apple help but it makes no sense and still wont work. Does anybody know how i can upload this to my pc. This software is horrible. Thanks, Matt. |

Re: iPod problem
you can't take songs from your ipod back onto iTunes without a third party software, you can only take iTunes music and put it on your ipod.
your best bet is to transfer the cds or mp3's back onto your new pc |

Re: iPod problem
Most of the instructions for getting music from one computer to another using iPods assume you have the source computer still running and are basically using the iPod as an external hard drive to move the songs over. You might be able to find them on the iPod if you mount it on the desktop (har har har) but you will most likely need to find a 3rd party tool to do it.

Re: iPod problem
You don't need third party software, but you can save a lot of trouble if you get one.
For $19.90 you can buy Copytrans formely knows as Copypod. And your problems are over. They may even have a 30 day free trial. I've used it for over a year and am happy with it. http://www.copytrans.net/purchase.php |
