Default Raising almost every hand preflop?

(1)Somewhere on this forum (I lost the direct link) I've red that on 25NL 6-handed you should raise every pair, Axs and every suited connector on the CO and the button. UTG you should tighten up and play only 22+, AQ+ and sometimes KQs. In middle position you should never openlimp, but always raise.

This leads to the fact that you seldom call, but almost always raise preflop? Is that right?

(2)I play 8-handed on CDPoker and on other sites I play fullring, how does this preflop raising strategy change for me then?

Maybe this is a stupid question, but I'm still learning...

At a 100bb deep, say 25NL, 6 max table full of unknowns, here are my standard opening ranges:

UTG: 22+, AJ+, ATs+, KQs+

MP: 22+, AT+, A9s+, KQ+, KJs+

CO: 22+, A8+, A2s+, KT+, K7s+, QT+, Q8s+, JT+, J8s+, T9s+

BTN: Anything pretty

SB: Same as CO due to being OOP.

I'll also raise somewhat simmilar ranges over limpers if they have been known to limp/fold, or fold too much on the flop/turn.

If people call too much preflop and like to peel flops, I tighten up to less exploitable CO/BTN ranges, and also stop cbetting flops so much.

On a side note I never open limp, and rarely limp behind. This leads to a high variance game, but huge profits, especially because it sets your opponents off balance.

never open limp in 6 max. Raiseing wins the blinds sets you up to c bet and disguises you hand. I would very seldom open limp in a full ring game either. You can open a little wider than what you said UTG but when begining tighter is probebly better.

If CD Poker is still Ipoker network, just play solid poker like you would ten handed and let the bluffers go crazy. Hittem when u got the nuts. That's all I used to do there and always made $$$. God I miss I poker. God I hate Bush and UIEGA.

Otherwise, Fennewald is pretty correct. Agressive in short handed game will always work out in end. This should work a CD Poker as it good strategy period.
