Re: 50NL AK in 3bet pot?
Your only other option is to give up on the flop, and I think that he has AK/JJ/99/88 etc. enough to take a stab at the pot.

Re: 50NL AK in 3bet pot?
I've thought a while about this spot and always hate it. I've stopped with the three betting of AK preflop. Think about it, you three bet and all the PPs call hoping to hit a set against your "AA or KK" and you push out all the worse aces. Also you are a dog to hit either or your cards on the flop. I don't 3 bet AK anymore unless someone is really out of line.

If you only threebet with Big Pairs then they are playing pretty correctly to call and hit their set aren't they(assuming you stack off in most of these situations). If you don't threebet with AK against their lower aces then aren't they taking it down on almost all boards with their c/bets when you miss? You seem to only be missing value on the hands where you both hit your aces, which isn't really that often. |

Re: 50NL AK in 3bet pot?
A reraise with AK hand again, this HH, kind of exemplifies why I do not 3bet PF with AK (Call me a wuss/whatever) especially OOP, ......... considering you did, this is standard I guess
