jack duece in limped pot for stacks?
unknown MP limps, button limps SB completes I have the jack duece offsuit powerhouse.
Flop is JT2 with the J2 both spades. I bet $6 into the $8 pot and the MP makes it $36. Pretty big flop raise for a limped pot. I have the awesome top and bottom two pair -- aka the 5th nuts. Who wants to 3bet and try to get it in asap? Who wants to call and c/f any 7-A or spade turn - but get it in on blank turns? Who wants to fold right now and be happy they only wasted $6 with this hand? |

Re: jack duece in limped pot for stacks?
Very awkward against an unknown...
I'm not really giving him credit for a set having limped (and 22 is unlikely given your hand) so the only hand I'm scared of is JT obv. Bearing in mind he could have a straight draw or flush draw, or a top pair kind of hand which he may or may not fold (probably wont fold because he open limped, aka he is bad) and you are out of position and will not enjoy that many turns. Furthermore, his raise is probably not 'for value' so I commit myself to the pot and make it $115 to go and call any subsequent shove. |

just call the raise. on the turn just ck and re-eval. at this level, he will let you know what he has on the turn.
