Default Lost with JJ (Play Along)

Raiser is IamSnow, I have him as fairly nitty 14/10, but right now is is running 25/20 in 40 hands so I don't really know. I am treating him nitty. SB is a total donk, running like 50/35. He probably has me around 20/17ish, we haven't tangled much before don't know if he respects me or not. RR preflop is def an option, but again I am under the impression is that Snow is quite tight.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $4 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

MP ($611.80)
CO ($394)
Button ($465.80)
SB ($620.20)
Hero ($626.05)
UTG ($449.40)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
1 fold, MP raises to $16, 2 folds, SB calls $14, Hero calls $12.

Flop: ($48) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets $8, Hero???

You skipped pf?
14/10 isn't nitty enough to not squeeze with JJ IMO. You have some extra equity in the pot and JJ beats his 10% range (I find that 14/10 players tend to raise the same hands in any position rather than change their range with position, they're pretty much on autopilot)

Flop - looks like SB has a draw, raise to a cbet level, like ~45-55. You have position so you can control the pot as you see fit based on the turn. If MP moves over the top, fold. If MP flatcalls, play very cautiously

I am not ignoring it, usually it is my default play, but sometimes I just call. Probably like 85-15. This is one of the 15%.

I think, as a general rule in poker, you shouldn't actually "randomize" your play unless against someone you have a lot of history with. Each and every situation is very different. In other words, you should pretty much *always* make the biggest +EV play unless you have real history with the villain OR you want to set a particular image. In those two cases, then you may want to consider making less +EV or even -EV plays for the sake of bigger +EV situations in future times.
