Default Deadliest Catch w/submarines

This idea seemed to fit here. I just emailed the northwestern to buy a sub and make a shell of crab cages around it with a system of airlocks for retrieval.

Pros: following the crab is easy, you can see them. You don't have to die falling off the boat, no frostbite, boat can't capsize.

Cons: huge investment, and where do you purchase subs? former ussr? Paperwork is probably pretty bad. Have to hire engineers that know teh math.

Thoughts?

I think you may be underestimating the quantity of crab these boats haul.

I suppose you could get a helicopter or hot air balloon to help pick up what you've caught.

You leave yourself wide open to giant squid attacks.

You need to build the submarine with screen doors so that you can open it to haul in the crabs.

I think it's much easier to just find where the crab are, build concrete walls around them, pump the water out of your concrete crab box, and send in a rapelling team to harvest the crabs.

PS: Looking for investors. PM if interested.

I much prefer the idea of training killer whales to harvest and swallow the crabs whole. When their bellies are full, they could surface and regurgitate the crabs (still alive and kicking) into a properly-labeled container.

I also have this idea involving trained monkeys, scuba gear, and wicker baskets. If the concrete box thing doesn't work out, I've got a backup plan.

Consider Portuguese water dogs if you get tired of flying poo.
