Ok, I'll bite:

What's the going rate for your line of work (ie do you get paid by the hour, or by the # of trees?)

What's the coolest new technology available for tree removal?

Any gross injury stories?

Any hot nubile young teen girls seduced by your woodsman charm?

- Nothing too fancy:

- Everyone "knows" someone who lost a leg, but that sort of thing rarely happens on the job.

- No, I'm married to the forest.

My norway maple has some sort of vascular wilt. the tree guy we had out said that it's something it's either going to get over by itself or it's not. He quoted us about 1400 dollars to get the tree thinned. Am I being had?

Depends on the size of the maple. But most likely.

Anyway, this isn't my area expertise; I'm more of a 'cut now, ask later' type of tree guy.
