AK flops top two in interesting position
Villain is 18/12 and had 3 bet twice before causing me to fold, so my thoughts are that he could be making a play at me again.

Should I have dropped the hand preflop?...and once I flop top two and he shows aggression I think our only moves are folding or pushing because a call would leave about 70 in the pot with 20 back that would have to go in no matter the turn. Thoughts? |

Re: AK flops top two in interesting position
you should push or fold pre-flop, seeing as how the fifth raise would only be a little more than pot-sized. once you get to the flop and he bets out, you're probably chopping at best, but what can you do other than put the rest of your money in?

Re: AK flops top two in interesting position
I don't think an 18/12 is putting a move on you here.
You're right, flop is push/fold. I'm shoving and think we're probably going to see another AK, if not, then QQ. AA or KK would be a cooler. |

Re: AK flops top two in interesting position
I have a habit of rarely pushing AKo preflop. I just feel like once a guy 4bets I'm even money at best and he's playing AA, KK, QQ or AK. Is this mentality wrong - or against certain opponents I should hammer them preflop with AK?
