Re: Denver game!
Thanks for the invite. I'm tied up all weekend with work. Also, I have no clue how to play Badugi.
I guess I could just learn at the table ... |

Re: Denver game!
I have never played badugi, either. How hard could it be with only 4 cards?

Re: Denver game!
I have a ton of buddies around boulder that would be down to play just about anytime. I would love to get a game sometime this weekend, cash game preferably ($0.25/$0.50 or $0.50/$1). Send me a PM if anyone is interested and where/when it would take place.
I'm good for about 3-4 people for sure. |

Re: Denver game!
I would definitely like a consistent quality game in the boulder/Boulder turnpike area. Aurora wouldn't be too bad either, but like most, I only have experience w/ Hold em and Omaha. I would def enjoy a PL HO mixed game, and I wouldn't mind an occasional hand of badugi (never played). Anyways, I'd be interested in a competent NLHE game .25/50-1/2 stakes.

Re: Denver game!
Bruno is a Boulder area resident. He can probably help you find a game. Here is his profile. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showpr...mp;box=received
Are there many south siders or Aurora area 2+2? Establishing a regular 2+2 game is not really +EV, as most of the 2+2 universe is populated by good players. However, I suppose that in order to improve, it is necessary to play better players. My goal is to take the 2+2 connection and apply it as an organizing force so that we can start to have some influence on the political environment. |

Re: Denver game!
Do any of you guys play in any of the bar games? I'd imagine that might be a good place to meet some more average people. Or there's always Black Hawk.

Re: Denver game!
I'm hosting a tourney at my house on June 8th, 7pm in Highlands Ranch (C-470 and Lucent area). I have room for 18 players on two tables with padded rails and cheap ass cupholders
First tourney buyin is sometimes $10 but usually $20 (we vote) for 1,000 chips. Blinds start at 10/20 and go up every 15 min. Payout depends on the number of players but pays at least 3 places. Side cash game usually gets started after players bust out of tourney. Second tourney begins immediately following the first tourney and buyin is $20. It's a BYOB and maybe some chips or side dish. I usually provide a few snacks. We usually all pitch in for pizza. Music is usually 80's and 90's rock from one of the Comcast music channels. It's a pretty casual game with a bunch of players in their 30's and 40's. PM if interested and we can set a time to meet. I need to meet you before the game. And potential thieves be forewarned there are several blackbelts in the room - two 5th degree, an alarm and a big ass mean ass dog. |

Re: Denver game!
I play some of the bar games in Longmont, and there are a handful of really good players there, and a couple more tables worth of average players. However, most all of them so inclined to play home games are already playing in the few regular home games taking place there. I doubt that's the place to pick up more bodies for a 2+2 game, except for one person I know in particular.
Blackhawk for home game players? Dunno...if I'm already taking their money, not sure I'd want to bring them to you bunch. That would be a bit -EV for me. ;-) |
