I know i played this extremely passive but i did this as i turned the nuts and he kept firing out so i presumed he had a set so i could milk him on the river

At these levels guy could be holding A3, the flop and turn bets he makes look pretty weak to me, in fact as he was in the small blind he could be holding pretty much anything. K3, Q3, J3 34 23 etc. etc. etc.

this bloke had no idea how to bet so i would ignore the sizes and just consider that he is betting

You are in a tough spot because you played this so passively. I think you are ahead of villain's range. His betting doesn't suggest a set on the flop or turn. I think he holds A3. Your bad luck if he hit a boat on this ragged flop. At these levels, guys will think A3 is the nuts. You have the best hand 97% of the time!
