Re: to check or to bet this turn?
If you have a good image, raise A7o before the flop. There is lots of trouble with these hands if the blinds are loose and aggressive. If they call your raise and you hit and A on the flop, you never know if your kicker is good or not. The 7 kicker will rarely be the high card on the flop. Suited A's are much better to raise with. This is taking into consideration the blinds are loose and aggressive. If they are tight and/or passive, you can raise. IMHO. As played, check and fold to a river bet. Hope to hit your flush or two pair. You are behind here, so don't bloat the pot. Villain has not given any indication that he is going anywhere. I also don't think he called with a single spade, thus reinforcing the though that you are behind in the hand.

Re: to check or to bet this turn?
the reason i like your raise on the flop is because it got you the opportunity to see the river for free. check it and hope to make ur flush

Re: to check or to bet this turn?
Open raising A7o from the button is very standard in my book.
Turn is an easy check behind. Villan won't fold. Pray for a spade on the river and fold otherwise. |
