NL100: A bluff in a RR pot
The opponent in this hand is 20/16/4, seems very aggressive from observation so far. I have played with him more than he has played with me (we played a few hundo hands yesterday with me playing under a different user name). I saw him for example raise the flop against a PFR with overcards and a flush draw (JTs), then bet the turn (checked to him) and pot commit himself to the PFR's turn CRAI.
I have been told the river is a bad card to bluff at, but I thought it would be a good card. Thoughts? Re: NL100: A bluff in a RR pot
the reason why bluffing the river is bad is because you are playing against an aggresive opponent. Because he played the flop/turn passively you have to be worried. (e.g when a player who hardly raises pre flop...raises...alarm bells should start ringing)
