He's a sinkerballer-type pitcher, so his strikeout totals will be fairly low.

Even for a sinkerballer his K rates are pretty low... but that has always been the case for him and as his control has improved they have continued to drop.

I get the feeling he pitches like '05 Silva... throw sinkers in the strike zone every pitch and hope for the best.

I sure hope that's not the case. :\

EDIT: Specifically because his walk rates are way, WAY too high to support that kind of idea.

I was just noticing this trend:

Carmona:

2006: K/9 6.6, BB/9 3.5, P/PA 3.7
2007: K/9 3.7, BB/9 2.8, P/PA 3.5

Silva:

2005: K/9 3.6, BB/9 .5!, P/PA 3.1

I'm finally starting to get on the Boof bandwagon, because he is finally starting to strike guys out. I still have a long ways to go with Baker yet. Gotta love beating up on the Crew though.

Meh, if you made it through last year, you'll do it this year. Anyway, the other guys in the bullpen have taken their turns this year as well. Still, I like where the Tigers are at this point.

How much of Curtis Granderson's .572 SLG% is a fluke? His hr/f is basically the same as last season. PECOTA projected .459 before the season. I wonder how much is sustainable.
