Looks to be worth the risk here.

With M of 4-5, definitely worth taking a chance. a great opportunity to at least treble your stack. Button is only real concern imo, but even then got to be very unlucky not to be in good shape...

It's very likely your hand is duplicated, in which case you're getting pretty lousy odds.

You've just paid the BB and still have 8 BB left.

I know how painful it can be to fold a prime hand after a seemingly endless stream of trash, but I'd lean towards laying it down and trying to get my chips in as the opener.

The size of other stacks on the table matters - if the rest are like very big and everybody playing very loose a call might be warranted.

You called and lost to CO-1's medium pocket pair ?

don't forget the massive antes in these live tourneys mcmel.

M is under 3, not the best spot but you need to go with it.

you are pretty much never going to be correct folding AK w/ 8 blinds. Call and expect to be getting a great overlay w/ your equity.

This is a misunderstanding.

"M" is a tool to help you make good decissions. It's not a number that forces you to push your chip into the middle if you don't have a good chance of profiting from it.

With 8 BB the OP still has plenty of FE, if he can get his chips in first. Calling all-in with a hand that's likely to be an underdog AND duplicated is at the best questionable.

SossMan, what hands is the button likely to come over the top with 15 BBs here?

My range here would be AA-QQ & AK. Only against QQ is there an overlay.

EDIT: OK, I pretty much only play live tournaments at WSOP ... maybe you know something I don't?

not trying to say that he's obligated to shove just cause harrington says so. i just think if you want a chance at winning the tournament and not just hanging on then you should gamble here. 5500-6k each round and he has 16k. i doubt you have the time to wait for a better spot.
