Default strategy against maniac

Hi!i suppose this thread can be also related to other stakes of NL holdem, but i decided to post it there.well we got a maniac at our cash table NL25.Let's get to 2 behaviours of maniac and questions to them:
1)he pushes all in every hand

Which hand ranges would you suggest there?is it 60% good enough to call him?and what about if you already have several buy-ins and he too?would you take better chances?
2)he raises every hand about 5-10 BB

and what about this case?will you call with hand that about slight favourite to play it on flop if u catch smth.?or another strategies?

well it's really hard question to me-i suppose i am about to be even with these guys in the long run,but sometimes it really upsets me when being favourite preflop a got busted on river for example when they catch their miracle card several times in a row.

Default Re: strategy against maniac

Just play SUPER tight vs this guy (Top 5-10% of hands). it may be frustrating knowing that he'll lose his chips and NOT to you, but that's how it goes. Patience is the key, don't fish just because he's crazy, be SURE that your ahead. Liberally call him with Pairs and bust him when you flop sets, but only if he's deep enough to pay you off, say 10 times your investment.

Good luck.
