Default Half Pot Limit Hold \'em books

Hi! Great to finally be here. I've got a bunch of 2+2 books in my library and (as I'm sure most/all of you know) they all contain solid gold advice.

The big game at my local casino is a half pot limit hold 'em game with blinds of $10 and $20. Previously this game only ran once a month and I largely ignored it since it could devestate my bankroll in one session. However, they are now going to open the game once a week and it is just too soft for me to ignore and still think of myself as a serious player.

Up until now I have focused my play and study on limit and no limit hold em but I want to take a run at this half pot game.

Can anyone recommend a book with a good treatment of half pot play? Or point me to some good advice online?

Cheers.

I have read 30 plus poker books easy (and that is a conservative estimate) and I have come across one that mentioned it but I do not believe that there is any real treatment of this in any book out there. Sorry.

But perhaps some other poster knows better.

Nope never heard of this either.
But I am glad to see some interest in a more demanding skilled form of poker besides NL.

It is mentioned in Pot-Limit & No-Limit Poker by Ciaffone & Reuben, but that's it.

I think the best that can be done for you is for you to purchase Stewart Reuben's 'How Good Is Your Pot Limit Hold'em?'.

Unfortunately my interest is mandated, its the only big bet game my local big house will offer since the state Govt. prohibits regular NL games, as it could lead to problem gambling... and at the same time we have more slot machines per capita then any other nation in the world! Go Australia.

Cheers again.

I think people need to be more open minded and get beyond commercial consciousness.
I would drool at the opportunity to play live cash or tourney PL.

There's no literature that I know of on the game. if it exists, it was probably published in Europe.

That said, if you understand limit, and you understand pot limit, you should be just fine. So I'm not really sure a book is needed.
