$100+ SnGs 6max / 9max strategies
I recently started playing tons of tournies and am interested in what people's answers are to these questions
this is more geared towards $100-$300 SnGs 6 max: 1) what are your all in preflop range? in early stage of tourney? - folding AK to a substantial raise? - folding TT/JJ to a substantial raise? 2) are QQ/AK always automatic call for all in preflop? 3) according to the various stages of the SnG, how tight/aggressive do you play? 4) do you accumulate chips early on or when the blinds are hefty enough? 5) thoughts on small PP in early stage/late stage 6) thoughts on AQ/AJ/KQ marginal hands... feel free to contribute additional questions and answers. my answers from limited experience: 1) QQ+/AKs... I'd fold JJ to an allin preflop in very early stage 2) QQ+ but not so much AK... until prob down to 3 or according to stacksize 3) semi tight in the first couple levels, extremely tight in bubble time, switch to extremely aggressive ITM 4) I actually have no answer for this question, which is what bothers me... since beginning stack sizes are all equivilent or close to, playing for stacks will ultimately jeapordize survival...but without a big enough chiplead.... losing a race/bad luck = game over |

[/ QUOTE ] There's some shred of truth to this, but only in the perspective of already knowing perfect 9-max play. |

[ QUOTE ]
3) semi tight in the first couple levels, extremely tight in bubble time, switch to extremely aggressive ITM [/ QUOTE ] this is really revolutionary approach, please post some of your results after you have played 200+ games with this approach. oh.. one suggestion, keep notes and use reads to adjust your play is a must. formular doesn't work in higher buyin sng |
