Re: 60k \"Staking\" dispute
[ QUOTE ]
Okay. I'm a 5/10 grinder that has had some success in the past. I was "yoguh12" on partypoker back in the 10/20 days. This well known player asked me to borrow money. He said he was cash short at the time but had money. So I trusted him and sent him 30k. Then this came up a while later. him: lemme throw this out there him: I dont know exactly when these guys are going to pay him: I would think in a week or two him: instead of loaning me money him: would you like some of my action and just BR me on FTP until I get my funds released? him: stake me and I'll provide makeup if I lose him: that way it's 100% no loss for you me: whoa me: what's in it for you though? him: I borrowed 10k from someone else him: and they are freaking out him: that I'm playing 1 table of 25/50 ring him: so it might be easier just to deal with you him: and that way him: I dont feel bad borrowing 30k from you him: and I can play more freely me: okay sure me: sounds like a win win situation for both of us So then this guy loses all 60k and said he's real sorry. Then I find out that he's not paying me back because I was "staking" him. [/ QUOTE ] -how much longer was this from the original time you sent him 30k? -the staking from what i read/my interpetation seems to be just on the 2nd 30k and not the first since there was no mention of the other 30k. and he stated hed rather it be a stake so he wouldnt feel bad burrowing 30k from you. seems like he definitely owes you 30. |

Re: 60k \"Staking\" dispute
Agree with Travesty. He is still owed the 30K because that was initially a loan.
For the rest, OP has the option to bankroll him for makeup. If he does so, then as others have said he can bankroll stakee for 5/10 until he gets his money back. That, or he can choose to just eat the 30K. |

Re: 60k \"Staking\" dispute
i think i agree with RedDragon. so the original $30k was a loan and then this AIM convo comes which changes the next $30k into a stake with makeup. yeah?
i dont agree with this: [ QUOTE ] I think Boosted should make up losses at lower levels (25/50, possibly 10/20, absolutely no lower than 5/10). [/ QUOTE ] because no terms were defined, other than "make up". technically, hero could force villain to grind back the $30k from nickel dime stakes |

Re: 60k \"Staking\" dispute
No, there were minutes between the original $30k and the second $30k, less than an hour where I was playing 5/10 and 10/20 where I broke even, and yoguh knows I was even, the stake clearly started with $60k, and there is 0 dispute about that

I'm assuming that both parties decide to act equitably and that no one's a complete tool. |

Re: 60k \"Staking\" dispute
Please stop trying to deceive others. I have it all logged. There was one full day in between the two 30k, not minutes.

Re: 60k \"Staking\" dispute
i am a friend of boostedj and i know the whole situation about what happened here.i was actually IM with boosted when he told me he was getting staked.not ONCE did he say anything about a loan.i know boosted pretty well and know he would NEVER try to scam someone or trick them in anyway for ANYTHING....it is the other way around he is the type of person who tries to help people not take advantage of them....

[/ QUOTE ] yeah obv. the point i was making is that its not unreasonable at all to assume lower stakes (even lower than 5/10) after the horse blows $60k with complete disregard to BR management |
