Look, I really doubt they're doing some "wacky twist" with the final scene. The only possible twist is that it may not be the same job, but Ryan is definitely getting a job at corporate. And he was definitely talking to David Wallace on the phone. You're trying to read too much into how the scene was cut if you think otherwise.

Also, who did I hear say "We're really glad to have someone with an MBA" (paraphrase) if I never heard a voice on the other end of the line? I'm now dying to download this because I guess I'm forgetting something, or was making an assumption based on a visual trick.

Jesus people, are we REALLY discussing whether or not Ryan got the job based on production questions? The OBVIOUS answer to 95% of us watching the show was "Oh, Ryan got the job then."
That's seriously enough. This isn't Lost. Ryan got the job, it will be awesome having Ryan as Michael's boss.... sad that we are without new office eps for so long now.
