Blackjack- how much do I lose per hand?
I have no real idea how to play the game other than the overly obvious stuff. If I bet $10/hand, how much does each hand cost?

Re: Blackjack- how much do I lose per hand?
It depends how bad you are and what the house rules are. A typical player gives the house about $0.40 for each $10 hand, you can lock this in by deciding never to bust. It's easy to do worse than this, and many players do.
With five minutes of attention, you can cut that to about $0.15, and if you learn the basic strategy (no card counting) you can reduce it even more. |

If you bet $10/hand you will lose about 20c per hand. It is not really much more than this for a reasonable person (doesn't double 14 vs Ace) since there are a high percentage of obvious decisions (20 vs 10 etc). Using Basic Startegy your disavantage will be about 0.5% or 5c/hand. This figures may vary by about 0.5% depending on the rules. |

When I bonus whored online using the charts, the house had about .5% edge over me.
This has the optimal losing strategy: http://wizardofodds.com/blackjack Aaron's probably right though for your case. |
