Make sure that she continues to live life and does the things that she always wanted. My mother-in-law died from a severe form (IBC) less than a year after diagnosis. A lot depends on how far advanced it is.

I will say a prayer for her and a quick recovery.

My mom passed from breast cancer 22 years ago, but the leaps in treatment have been vast since then. It will be uncomfortable and painful and annoying for your mom but she'll pull through without a doubt.
